Brexit negotiations: Start of the fourth round of negotiations and statement by Mr Barnier on transitional period

The fourth round of Brexit negotiations started on 25 September 2017 and Michel Barnier, the EU's chief Brexit negotiator, made a statement focusing on a possible transition period at the press conference following the General Affairs Council (Article 50).
